There are many things in and around our houses. We can see a book, a television, a bed, a sofa, etc., inside our house. Similarly, we see a car, a tree, a bird, grass, stones, etc., outside our house. These things are either living things or non living things.


LIVING THINGS:

Living things are alive. All living things have life. They need food and water. Living things grow. Living things can move. Living things breathe in air. Plants, animals and human beings are living things.

LIVING THINGS CAN MOVE:
Fish



A fish can swim.

A bird flies.

A man walks.








LIVING THINGS CAN GROW:
Living things grow



A child grows into a girl.



A kitten grows into a cat.



A plant grows into a tree.







LIVING THINGS CAN EAT:
A frog eats insects.

A bird eats grains.

A cow eats grass.










NON-LIVING THINGS:

Non - living things do not have life in them. Non - living things do not need food and water. Non - living things do not grow. Non - living things do not breathe and move.
